　　Abstract：
　　Based on the existing theoretical and empirical research result at home and abroad， this paper estimate the effect of urbanization on countrymen’s income in China. The estimation results of fixed effects model shows a significantly positive correlation between countrymen’s income and urbanization，urbanization help countrymen’s net income and its various components increase in China，but the extents closely related to Level of urbanization， power source and spatial pattern of urbanization.Overally，urbanization from lower starting point， urbanization driven by the Agricultural Development and the agricultural sector productivity，and local urbanization have more pronounced positive effect to help countrymen’s income increase. Based on these findings， for the aim to better promote the development of rural areas and countrymen’s income， we should not only to accelerate the current pace of new urbanization， but also given the same weight in industrialization and agricultural modernization， strengthen the planning and construction of small towns while construction the capital and other major cities， accelerate local urbanization conveniently.
